Night Shift Night Shift Im not trusty what attraction I feel towards working in a hospital. When I was younger I hated even judgement near them. They smelled funny, everyone looked nervous, and a lot of distinguishs were off limits. unless I think the thing that scared me the most was the thought of needles. and later on working on the night shift for about a year, Ive found hospitals to be more than just a crop where people are sick. They are a place to look on life. But Im still scared of needles. One of my most memorable patients was an elderly man who had Lou Gehrigs Disease. When I met him he was on a ventilator, a feeding machine, and an IV.
All this to keep him alive. He was soft losing his ability to control his muscles. He couldnt talk, so I lettered to lip-read what he wanted, which wasnt an easy task for both of us.
